Helen studied illustration at Glasgow School of Art before moving to London where she currently lives as a full time author/illustrator. She has had several young picture books published.

Hello Helen. We met at Putney Art college a couple of years ago, with Carolyn and Mary - you brought in your port folio and talked to us about your work. Well, I am now just about ready to face the big wide world with some stories I have written and illustrated. I was wondering what advice you might have for me, given that I have never shown my work to anyone, yet! What would be the best way to approach a publisher for instance? What would be the most important things I could do to get seen? What is your opinion on having an agent? Hope you are fully employed and enjoying your Illustrations! Thanks for your time. kim
